Woman accused of hitting man in the head with steel pipe

A Lebanon woman is accused of assaulting a 70-year-old man at a home in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue this week. Lebanon Police responded to the residence on Tuesday morning and found the 70-year-old victim with blood running down his face. The suspect 53-year-old Debby Murray had allegedly hit the victim in the head with a steel pipe, causing a large wound.
Murray was found in the living room, naked and covered in blood. According to the officer’s report, the woman was under the influence of an unknown drug or was having a mental crisis. Murray was taken to an area hospital and after it was determined that she was fit for confinement, she was transported to the Laclede County Jail. Murray is charged with Domestic Assault with a bond of $5-thousand cash or surety. Her next appearance in court is set for November 23rd.
