The former head of the Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop in Richland appeared in Pulaski County Circuit Court Monday for a review of terms of her probation and restitution order

The former head of the Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop in Richland–40-year-old Lacie Karr–appeared in Pulaski County Circuit Court Monday for a review of terms of her probation and restitution order of August 3rd of last year. The State withdrew its motion to revoke probation. Karr had been the Sheltered Workshop head when a large amount of funds were reported missing. Upon her guilty plea on April 21st of last year to the Class D felony charge of stealing, Karr was sentenced to serve 7 years in the Department of Corrections. However, she was granted probation for a period of five years and ordered to pay restitution at a rate of 25 percent of her gross income.
As a result of Monday’s appearance before Senior Judge Sidney Pearson, that restitution amount was firmed up at $400 per month. Karr’s case is set for a restitution review on August 1st. Judge Pearson allowed Karr’s attorney Kimberly Lowe to withdraw as counsel for the defense.
