Registration is open to 2024-2025 school year sophomore and junior students in Pulaski County. Students must complete an application and submit one letter of recommendation. Students must commit to attending each session. Pay a $25.00 program fee (due July 5, 2024) The mission of Junior Leadership Pulaski County (JrLPC) is to inspire the next generation to be community influencers by becoming their best selves now.
Program Goals are: To encourage students to realize their own potential and develop their leadership skills. To develop young leaders who will be challenged to apply their new skills through interactions with community leaders, decision-makers, and peers from other schools in the area. To create an environment that nurtures potential young leaders to participate in school/community service and volunteerism. To increase personal and community awareness.
The 2024-2025 Junior Leadership Pulaski County Class will meet once per month from October 2024 to April 2025. Each session will begin at 9 a.m. and last four hours on a Saturday. Attendance is required for all sessions to remain eligible for graduation. Tuition for each participant of Junior Leadership Pulaski County is $25. Upon notification of being accepted into the Junior Leadership Pulaski Program, the participant will be invoiced for the tuition. Tuition must be paid by July 5, 2024. Junior Leadership Pulaski County program participants are selected from applications submitted to the selection committee based on merits through a highly competitive admissions process. Participants are expected to have a desire for personal growth, interest, and motivation to serve school and community, be drawn to volunteerism, resulting in positive change, and ability to commit to program attendance and participation requirements. Selection is based upon the thoroughness of answers on the candidate’s application and recommendations. Students who will be sophomores or juniors for the 2024-2025 school year in Pulaski County are eligible to apply. The number of participants for each class is limited. All applications must be postmarked by June 7, 2024, to be considered for the 2024-2025 class.
