Sunrise Beach Fire Department Awarded Grant

The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District has been awarded a grant through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The 265,618.09 cents grant will be used to replace all of the self-contained breathing apparatus (air packs) that firefighters use to enter very dangerous environments. Sunrise Beach Fire Chief Joseph LaPlant says along with the air packs the department was also able to receive multiple other things.
The district has until 2025 to spend the funds.
