Thousands of blood donations are what the American Red Cross looks to get every day. Giving blood is very important because you never know whose life you are saving, and over 90 percent of the American Red Cross are volunteers. Volunteers help the American red cross when it comes to giving blood, house fires, and other community out reach. Stacy Burks with American Red Cross is very thankful that the volunteers help out, and says that this month they are saying thank you by giving back to people who give blood.
