The first Friday in June will mark the beginning of Rolla’s 29th annual Route66 Summerfest

The first Friday in June will mark the beginning of Rolla’s 29th annual Route66 Summerfest, with programming continuing through Saturday night. The Fest starts with a “chrome procession” traveling the Mother Road from St. James to Rolla. The Miss Route 66 and Miss Summerfest pageant contestants will arrive at the festival in cruisers of their choice. The festival itself will consist of live music, competitions, races, food trucks, craft vendors, kids’ activities, and more. Things kick off at 4:30 PM on June 2nd. A movie under the stars will be shown that night. The title has not yet been revealed. Saturday’s itinerary begins with a car show on Pine Street at 8:00 AM. A motorcycle show follows at 10:00 AM, with a motorcycle poker run following that at 1:30 PM. For more information on this year’s Route 66 Summerfest, visit route66summerfest.com or the festival’s Facebook page, “Rolla’s Route 66 Summerfest.”
