Schmitt Votes “NO” On Budget Bill

Another government shutdown has been avoided. The U.S. House quickly passed a 1-point-2 trillion-dollar spending package on Friday, then passed by the U.S. Senate during predawn hours Saturday and signed by President Biden. Missouri U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt voted “no:”

The budget bill includes funding for the military, homeland security, and other government functions. It does NOT include payments for Missouri victims of radioactive waste exposure.
