A Rolla man died following a three-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon on Highway 63 south of Rolla. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 65-year-old David Dorrough crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic. The patrol says Dorrough’s car struck a trailer being towed by an oncoming pickup truck before striking a second oncoming truck.

Dorrough was pronounced dead at a local hospital. 21-year-old Wyatt Varner, of Rolla, and his passenger, 20-year-old Pepper Morrison, of Newburg, were flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.
