Police seize quarter pound of marijuana

Lebanon Police responded to a business in the 600 block of North Jefferson for a report of a person who was in possession of a large amount of marijuana, last Thursday. Officers didn’t find the truck, but then learned it was possibly enroute to a location on the other side of town. The truck was located near Long John Silvers, where it was disabled and being pushed into the parking lot. Because they didn’t have a warrant, the man denied consent to search the vehicle, and officers brought in a K-9. The dog allegedly gave a positive hit on the truck, and law enforcement then searched the truck, and found a large bag of marijuana under the seat. The marijuana weighed out to be a little over a quarter pound. The driver was issued a citation for possession of a controlled substance was released with a court date of January 6th.
