The investigation continues today after one person was arrested Friday afternoon after shots were fired on Bagnell Dam Boulevard at Lake of the Ozarks.

Lake Ozark police responded to the strip around 4:15 p.m. to reports of shots being fired from a moving vehicle and “a man in the middle of the street causing problems.”

A news release from the police department stated that police determined both incidents were caused by the same person, an approximately 30-year-old man.

An initial investigation by police showed the man fired 12 shots from a pistol into a hillside along the strip while riding in a car.

Police said the man was “combative and physically assaulted officers” while he was being arrested. Police took the man to Lake Regional Hospital for evaluation before taking him to the Miller County Jail, where he is still being held pending charges.

No people or property were hit by the shots fired.

Authorities said a woman was also detained following the incident.
