A 46-billion-dollar state budget proposal is headed to the Missouri Senate. The state House of Representatives has passed today the plan with 3.6-billion-dollars in state aid to public schools and 134-million to help expand access to early childhood education programs. House Budget Committee Chairman Cody Smith says it also includes 10-million-dollars for autism research…

The plan does not include the governor’s funding request to expand I-70 to six total lanes. Democrats unsuccessfully fought against the proposal including efforts that would ban state funding to pay for hiring, vendors, consultants, and programs associated with diversity and equity.
