A homecoming parade and the Waynesville-St. Robert Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Pride Night is preceding this evening’s football game against the Lebanon Yellowjackets at Waynesville High School. A WHS homecoming parade will start at 2:30 this afternoon from the downtown Waynesville Square and end on the parking lot at the middle school. That stretch of the historic 66 city route will be closed to through traffic during this period of time. And Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber Executive Director Cecilia Murray says the chamber’s annual Community Pride Night activities with free hotdogs, soft drinks, and handouts will take place before the game in the parking lot in front of the high school gymnasium.

The football game is scheduled to start at 7 o’clock this evening. Waynesville School District students in Grades 6 through 12 will be released from classes at noon. Students in Grades K-through-5 will be released at one o’clock this afternoon.
