Crews for the City of Lebanon are conducting the annual smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system. Each year crews take steps to check the system to reduce the amount of stormwater that will get into the system. Jarrad Day with the City of Lebanon said they are smoke testing to find defects in the lines…

Day said the smoke is not toxic, but you should take steps if it does come into your home…..

Before testing, please make sure that traps for all basement floor drains, sink traps, and other plumbing fixtures are full of water by pouring approximately 24 ounces of water into each drain. If you have questions or concerns contact Lebanon Public Works at 588-6090.
