(Fort Leonard Wood)–2020 was a record-setting year for Fort Leonard Wood Blood Donor Center. More than 8,400 Soldiers and civilians rolled up their sleeves to donate and 6,900 units was collected as a result. This is more than any year in recent history and nearly 500 more than last year’s mark. Blood donations typically drop off during and immediately after the winter holidays making National Blood Donor Month in January a critical time for the Armed Services Blood Program.
