Unlawful use of a Weapon

Charges have been filed in Dallas County following a disturbance at Sand Spring Resort on May 3rd. Dallas County Deputies responded to the 19-hundred block of Highway 64, when a pickup pulling a van pulled into the driveway of the business. The caller told the deputy that they walked outside of the business and asked if they could help and a man later identified as Chad Evans began cussing about conservation officers because he was told he couldn’t camp at the Bennett Spring Public Access. Evans then allegedly went to his truck and pulled out a holster and put it on, making incoherent statements and pulled out a pistol. He then allegedly entered the truck again and placed another firearm around his neck. The victim reported that they witnessed Evans pulling the firearm and working the action. Evans is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
