Wonderland Camp canceling it’s 2020 season

The Wonderland Camp at the Lake of the Ozarks has canceled its 2020 Summer Camp Season due to concern of COVID-19. J.T. Gerlt of Missourinet affiliate KTKS in Versailles reports.

Around 1,000 children, teenagers and adults who have disabilities attend the camp each summer, and camp employs about 80 staff members. Mike Clayton a spokesperson for Wonderland Camp said, after meeting with physician advisors and considering all of the data from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the CDC they made the decision to cancel the season. In the 50 years of operation the camp has never canceled it’s summer season.
