The Waynesville School District will open a free preschool at the Parker Fine Arts Building this fall for children who will turn age 4 before Aug. 1st. Due to limited seating, parents will need to enter their child into a lottery system by completing the application form. The application opens on Tuesday, March 29th, and will close at 4 p.m. on April 18th. Parents will be notified if their child’s name was drawn by May 13th. The school hours will be 8:15 to 3:15. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. The student must reside in the Waynesville School District.
Students who are accepted will participate in a screening in June and will need to complete the enrollment process with the Waynesville R-VI School District. Go to the district’s Facebook page for a link to an application form. The Parker Preschool will be located in the Parker Fine Arts Building next to Waynesville Middle School in Waynesville.
