Waynesville High School’s Theatre Department and Thespian Troupe 1669 will present “The Bride of Brackenloch! A Ghostly Gothic Thriller?” by Rick Abbot at 7 p.m. this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the WHS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for staff and students. Tickets may be purchased in advance at https://our.show/bride or at the door. The production is under the direction of Charles Davis, WHS theatre teacher. The play is described as a cheerily goofy spoof of all those gothic novels where the heroine is brought to the ancient manor by her handsome, brooding groom, and new bride Daphne is brought to Brackenloch the day after her husband, Jabez Thorngall, lost his first bride to the family curse.” Suspicion and danger are always present, and audiences should love every minute of this thriller.
The play is recommended for audiences aged 10 and older.
