The Laclede County Health Department reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. That brings the total number of cases in Laclede County to 248, with 29 of those cases currently being active. Case number 247 was symptomatic, and had no known exposure to a positive case, and is assumed to have contracted the virus in the community. Case number 248 was symptomatic and was a close contact with a positive case. Both individuals visited Midway Speedway in Lebanon on Friday, August 14th, from approximately 4 p.m. until midnight. Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, urges anyone at those races to monitor for symptoms for 14 days, which would be until August 28th.
