The Crocker Presbyterian Church and the Crocker Ministerial Alliance are thanking the Ozark Food Harvest Grant Program for awarding them a grant

Several service organizations in Crocker have been blessed with grants from Ozark Food Harvest in recent months. The Crocker Presbyterian Church and the Crocker Ministerial Alliance are thanking the Ozark Food Harvest Grant Program for awarding them a grant in the amount of 1630 dollars last October 3. The awarded monies were used to purchase six sets of shelving and two utility carts. The shelving was used to expand the current pantry from one room to two rooms to allow for more on-hand food supplies. The additional utility carts are used to facilitate the ease and speed of unloading semi-truck food deliveries. The use of these utility carts added an element of health safety for the individuals unloading heavy boxes off the truck and transporting such items inside the church for further processing and food distribution.
The Crocker Senior Center was awarded a grant from Ozark Food Harvest in the amount of 4500 dollars on November 2nd. This funding was used to purchase a commercial-grade gas stove and pay for its installation. The stove was a six-burner stove with a griddle, two ovens, and a storage shelf. Crocker Senior Center and its congregants are very pleased with this new addition, especially since the stove they had been using was the original stove that the Center had been using at its current location since the 1990s.
Recently, the Crocker Community Park Board of Directors was selected to receive a grant award from the Fort Wood Community Spouse’s Club, for which the Park Board is extremely thankful. This award allows for the purchase of two park benches with accompanying solar lamp posts to be placed in the children’s playground area of the park.
