Tracker layoffs

Bass Pro Shops has laid off 176 workers, most of them in Missouri. The layoffs happened with the company’s division that manufactures boats for the giant outdoor retailer. Multiple media outlets report that Bass Pro’s White River Marine Group has laid off 85 workers at its plant in Lebanon, 21 in Bolivar, and 70 in Flippin, Arkansas. In a statement, the company cited lower demand for boats and the overall economy for the layoffs.
