Sales tax on used vehicles

The 2022 Missouri Legislative Session gets underway today and with hundreds of bills already prefiled, the session will be busy for lawmakers. 129th District Representative Jeff Knight tells Regional Radio News that one bill that he might bring forward again deals with sales tax on certain used vehicles.

Knight said he would like to include items that are sold in estate sales and auctions, and then resold to be exempt from sales tax. Knight said that the sales tax exemption on those types of items is something that he will likely bring forward again before he leaves office.
