Phelps County man accused of abandonment of a corpse

A February 7th hearing date has been set for a Rolla area man who is accused of keeping the body of dead woman in his home for days. 61 year old Brian Chambers is charged with abandoment of a corpse, after allegedly leaving the body of Jessica Allen at his residence in the 12-thousand block of County Road 7160. Chamber told authorities that on January 14th the he attempted life saving measures and administering Narcan in an unsuccessful attempt to revive the woman. He reportedly contacted the Phelps County Sheriff’s Office on January 17th. Authorities reported that when they arrived the remains of the woman were in a state of decomposition, and unrecognizable. Chambers’ bond was set at $25-thousand cash or surety.
