Governor Parson has unveiled a 34.1 billion dollar state operating budget for the fiscal year beginning in July. That represents a slimmer budget compared to the current year’s $38 billion, including about $7.4 billion in federal dollars. The governor is proposing to restore pre-pandemic level funding to public colleges and universities. During his State of the State address Wednesday, Parson says he also wants $5.7 million for the Fast Track Grant Program he championed – a $2.7 million increase compared to the current year’s budget.

Under Parson’s budget plan, $66 million would go to the Access Missouri financial aid program and $54 million for the A+ Schools Scholarship Program.
