The Park Board had its monthly meeting today (Wednesday), and one of the most notable points of discussion was the allotted time that members of the public can reserve a park. Park Director President John Shelton explained that someone had approached him to reserve a park for an entire week for a private event. Shelton explains more.

Shelton further expressed concern over non-community-centered events renting parks for long periods of time. President Shelton also expressed interest in utilizing a sport that’s gaining popularity.

No actions were taken on either item of discussion, but will potentially be discussed further at future meetings.
