Beginning December 8th, some Summit Natural Gas customers in Missouri will see cost increases. The Missouri Public Service Commission approved an adjustment for the company that will push the heating fuel price from $0.38 per hundred cubic feet of gas to $1.01 per Ccf.

The increase affects customers in the Warsaw and Lake of the Ozarks Divisions, including Pettis, Benton, Morgan, Camden, and Miller Counties.

Customers in the Gallatin Division will see their current rate of $0.38 per Ccf go up to $0.65 per Ccf.

Customers in the Rogersville and Branson Divisions, including the Laclede County area, will see a rise from $0.42 per Ccf to $$1.02 per Ccf.

The jump is to recover the massive increase in wholesale gas costs incurred last February when cold weather froze the distribution system in Texas.

Summit Natural Gas serves approximately 19,000 customers in Missouri.
