On Thursday, Lebanon Mayor Jared Carr gave a presentation on the state of the city, during the Lebanon Rotary Club meeting. Among accomplishments underway for the City, is the implementation of a master plan of streets, re-establishing a strong Downtown Business District, implementing projects related to the Capital Improvement Sales Tax, including planning for the new Lebanon Farmers Market Pavilion, and investing in the city electric grid.

Several projects that were implemented or planned over the past year, were the result of a citizen survey. Mayor Carr said they have plans to send out another survey in 2020….

Moving forward, the Mayor said they will be opening the new Nelson Park and constructing a new public safety building, as well as repairing and upgrading the Cowan Civic Center. He said 2019 was a year of tremendous progress, and the future is bright.
