Federal assault charges have been filed against a pharmacist at Fort Leonard Wood. According to court records, 63-year old Robert Sapp was working at the dispensing window at the Post Exchange Pharmacy at Fort Leonard Wood when a supervisor approached him, and the two men began arguing. A witness told authorities that she saw Sapp standing over the victim with a knife in his hand stabbing him. When the witness asked Sapp what he was doing, he put the knife in his pocket and fled. Sapp reportedly got into a vehicle and as he was driving away, nearly struck one of the people who ran out and tried to stop him. Military Police shut down the main gate and arrested Sapp as he was trying to leave the base. The victim was treated for multiple stab wounds. Sapp is charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon with the intent to do bodily harm. Sapp remains in federal custody.
