On Monday night, Lebanon City Council considered a bill which will allow construction to move forward on the new Farmers Market Pavilion, which will be located on Jefferson Avenue. True Construction was awarded the bid, which includes construction, site preparation and a pre-fab steel building. The original estimated cost was around $384-thousand, but adjustments of the design reduced the bid to a little over $264-thousand.  City Administrator Mike Schumacher explained that even though there was only 200-thousand reflected in the budget the city will be able to meet the bid cost..

While the underground plumbing of the pavilion will be put in place for later additions, the updated design will have one family shared used bathroom; and instead of concrete, the pavilion will have an asphalt floor. It will take about 9 weeks for the steel structure for the pavilion to arrive, but as the weather allows the construction team will prepare the groundwork.
