Every county in Missouri has what the Centers for Disease Control considers a high transmission rate of the Covid-19 virus. Pulaski County had been considered a substantial risk county just a week earlier. However, for the week of November 28th through December 4th, the number of new Covid cases in the county jumped to 126. There were no deaths attributed to Covid in that period of time. The jump in cases coincides with an upsurge in cases all throughout Missouri. The good news is that Pulaski County leads all surrounding counties in the Covid vaccination rate. As of this Sunday, the vaccination rate was 67.7 percent of county residents who have received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine, and 56.8 percent are considered fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated rates for surrounding counties are 42.3 percent in Camden County, 40.7 percent in Phelps, 35.8 percent in Maries, 34.6 percent in Laclede, 31.1 percent in Miller, and 30.6 in Texas counties.
