Engineer Regimental Week Begins Thursday at Fort Leonard Wood

The U.S. Army Engineer School will host the annual Engineer Regimental Week celebration from April 20th to April 30th at Fort Leonard Wood.

This year’s theme is “Regiment 2040.” Key events for the week include the Best Sapper Competition, scheduled for April 21st through the 24th; an Army Engineer Association industry exhibition April 25th through 27th; the Senior Engineer Leaders Forum on April 27th and 28th; an Engineer Family Readiness Group Day on April 26th; the Fallen Sapper Tribute on April 27th; the Engineer Regimental Run on April 27th; an awards ceremony on April 28th; and the Engineer Regimental Ball on April 28th.

The Best Sapper Competition consists of events designed to test the critical skills and knowledge of two-person teams of engineers, as well as the agility, endurance and resilience of each competitor. The winning team will be recognized at an awards ceremony on April 25th at Nutter Field House. More information can be obtained at the BSC Facebook page.

The Army Engineer Association Industry Exhibition will showcase some of the latest engineering technology. About 40 agencies are slated to particpate. The event is open to anyone with access to Fort Leonard Wood.
