Double murder trial may start next week in Laclede County

A Camden County man accused of killing a mother and daughter in 2016 is scheduled to be in court next week. After multiple continuances, the trial will take place in Laclede County on a change of venue. The state claims that Stephen Endsley wanted to kill Danielle Smith because she was gay. The autopsy from 2016 showed that she was stabbed to death, and her mother Teresa Jackson was strangled. Authorities claim that Endsley set fire to their home, after killing them. The trial could begin on Monday.
