Bus Driving Class Starts August 23rd At Fort Leonard Wood
The Transportation Motor Pool at Fort Leonard Wood is hosting a 40-hour bus-driving class from August 23rd through 27th in the TMP classroom at Bldg. 5267.
The class is open to all active-duty service members on Fort Leonard Wood needing to become certified to drive as a bus driver on Fort Leonard Wood in support of unit movement.
Potential attendees need to coordinate with their brigade master driver to submit a driver packet to TMP no later than 2:30 p.m. on August 20th. Unit master drivers can assist with the packet, which includes various items required by Army Regulation 600-55, including a commander’s interview, driver’s pledge, Army forms and copies of Army and state-issued driver’s licenses.
Students will also be required to pass a driving test and written exam.
The limited-use license is restricted to on post only, as it does not qualify as a Class B Commercial Driver’s License. The license is good for five years, or when the student’s state-issued license expires, whichever comes first.
