Customers of Ameren Missouri will see a change in their bill starting October 1st. Ameren Missouri made two filings with the Public Service Commission; one to true up costs, and the other to adjust the fuel adjustment charge, to reflect changes in its fuel and purchased power costs, net off-system sales revenues, and associated transportation cost. For a residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity a month, the charge will increase from 41 cents a month to about $2.70 per month. The FAC tariff allows the company to pass increases or decreases in its net fuel and purchased power costs to customers outside of a general rate case. The FAC will allow the company to recover up to 95 percent of costs for fuel and for wholesale power purchased to serve customers. Ameren Missouri provides electric service to over 1.2-million customers in Missouri.
