Starting Monday 7/20/20, Walmart will require all customers to wear face-coverings while shopping in any of their stores. According to the CDC and other health officials, COVID-19 can be spread by people who do not have any symptoms and don’t know they are infected. According to Walmart, this is a step that they, and other retailers, are taking to help protect the safety of their employees and the safety of customers. About 65 percent of Walmart stores are located in areas where there is some form of government mandate on face coverings. Walmart will have a health ambassador stationed near the entrance of their stores to help remind shoppers of this policy. The ambassadors will be identifiable by their black polo shirts. They also encourage you to try pick-up and delivery services, which do not require the use of a mask. Sign up through the app or at Walmart.com.
