The Waynesville-Lebanon stations of the Alpha Media broadcast group have won two awards in this year’s Missouri Broadcasters Association competition.
KOZQ took the top award in the category of Partners of Education that was open to all stations in the state from small markets to large markets. The program was about kindergarten through 3rd-grade students at Partridge Elementary School on Fort Leonard Wood preparing for musicals planned for early March.
KFBD won an honorable mention for the Waynesville School Report of Marianne Ward, the school district’s Director of Information and Marketing, talking about a Tiger Pride event for parents and students at Waynesville Middle School about dialing down the drama on social media and safely using these digital platforms.
Station Manager Mike Edwards accepted these awards at the annual Missouri Broadcasters meeting at the Lodge of the Four Seasons this weekend.
