The National Weather Service has confirmed four tornados so far that hit Missouri Friday night – in Defiance, Wellsville, and also in Reynolds and Stone Counties.
Hundreds of homes and buildings have been significantly damaged or shattered by the twisters in eastern and southeast Missouri. Governor Mike Parson’s Office says at least two people were killed in Pemiscot and St. Charles Counties from the storms and two other deaths are under investigation. Power is being restored to area homes and businesses. The governor told Missourinet he toured the devastation in both areas on Sunday….

State agencies on the ground helping include the Missouri Department of Transportation and the State Emergency Management Agency. The National Weather Service issued a total of 31 tornado warnings for Missouri on Friday night.
