New date for murder suspect pretrial

A Macks Creek man charged in the September 2018 murder of a Dallas County couple, is scheduled to be in court, for a pretrial conference, which has been reset for January 15th. Jeffrey Dale Lee Stevenson is one of two men charged in the murders of Joe and Brandy Allen, who were found shot to death outside their home in Tunas. It’s believed that the couple confronted their killers, as they were trying to steal their vehicles. Stevenson is charged with 2 counts of second degree murder, armed criminal action, burglary and stealing. Barring any continuances, Stevenson’s murder trial will begin on January 23rd. A second man charged in the murders, Billy Sage Medley, is scheduled to stand trial in July 2020 on multiple charges including first degree murder.
