Berkich said they will address issues like smoke detectors as a priority, but if they find other violations, they will give them time to make necessary improvements. There are 13 lodging facilities in Lebanon, 2 are closed.
In other business, 137 Brass meters were declared surplus and sold to S&S recycling. Council also approved task orders with Olsson Incorporated for the 6th Street Sewer Extension and Tuscumbia Street. The sidewalk will be about 1670 feet or about a quarter-mile. City Council approved the purchase of software upgrades from SCADA to Wonderware, which includes 2 twenty one inch monitors and a computer. The agreement is in the amount of $62-thousand dollars. Lebanon City Council gave Police Chief Brian Arnold approval to apply for a transportation safety grant, which will include funds for equipment and overtime for traffic enforcement.
