National Defense Authorization Act will give our Military in Missouri a 3.1% pay raise and $217 Million for Missouri Military Construction
The U.S. Senate has sent the Conference Report for the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act to the Presidents desk. The NDAA includes a pay raise of 3.1 percent for America’s service members, $217-million-dollars for construction projects at Fort Leonard Wood, Whiteman Airforce Base, Next NGA West, the Army National Guard in Springfield and Rosecrans Air National Guard Base. It also authorizes 12 weeks of paid parental leave to Missouri workers, and billions in funding for aircraft to built and stationed in Missouri. The bill also prohibits another round of BRAC and cuts to certain military medical positions. According to Senator Josh Hawley, this bill puts our armed forces in a better position to confront the growing threat posed by China and provides crucial support to our military men and women.
