Legislature Works On Property Tax On Vehicles

Due to a shortage of new vehicles, Missourians are paying a much higher annual property tax bill on their vehicles. House Speaker Dean Plocher, of Des Peres, says bills to help Missouri drivers deal with this tax increase are still in play this legislative session.

The tax revenue mainly goes to schools, fire, library, water and other taxing districts, the Blind Pension Trust Fund and county Development Disability Resource Boards.
