Leadership Pulaski County Class 10 Donates to Snack in a Pack

Leadership Pulaski County participants were briefed by the Waynesville Sixth Grade Center’s “Hope Squad” during a tour for their fourth session of the program in November. Students Kemper Henson and Ericah Njuguna were so passionate when talking about their current service project, a food drive for Snack in a Pack, it inspired the LPC class to coordinate a drive as well to assist with their efforts. Students who are part of the “Hope Squad” are nominated by their peers and then selected by a group of advisors.  Mrs. McNutt, Waynesville Sixth Grade Center counselor and one of the advisors for the “Hope Squad” stated that they are “so appreciative and grateful for the donation.” She went on to say that the students who are a part of the “Hope Squad” have such great spirits and attitudes, they are not only amazing members of the squad but also amazing students. Ericah Njuguna told the LPC Participants while she was accepting the donations, “You all have now inspired me to do more good.”  Leadership Pulaski County would like to thank the community for helping make this donation possible, “We appreciate everyone that brought donations into the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber office in such a short time frame.”
