A Pulaski County man is being held on multiple charges including kidnapping following an incident near Richland on December 23rd. Pulaski County Deputies report that they went to a home in Richlard for a disturbance that had turned violent. At the scene, James C. McCabe was allegedly holding a woman against her will, threatening her and wouldn’t let her go, and wouldn’t let deputies inside. After multiple attempts to get in through the front door, a deputy broke a window, but McCabe pushed the couch up against the window to keep them out. When the deputies finally got inside they reported it was necessary to deploy a taser to take him into custody. McCabe is charged with kidnapping, felony domestic assault and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $300-thousand-dollars. His next hearing is set for Monday January 6th.
