Friday is opening day ceremonies at Bennett Spring

Opening day of trout season at Bennett Spring State Park is just a few days away and park staff is getting ready for the big day. Bennett Spring Hatchery Manager Ben Havens tells us they are stocking the spring with enough trout to make it a good experience for all anglers.

This year’s opening will be sounded by a 70 year patron of Bennett Spring…
Those fishing at Bennett Spring State Park will notice that a small area around the Hatchery will be closed. There is currently a $40-million-dollars renovation project underway at the park. 2024 marks the 100th Anniversary of Bennett Spring State Park.
