Fatal Accident in Lebanon Claims the life of one teen
Four Lebanon residents were injured and one killed in an accident that took place in Laclede County on Rockwell Drive just before 12:30pm Saturday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as 17-year-old Eva Grantham, who was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. One of the vehicles passengers, a 16-year-old minor, was pronounced dead at the scene. Grantham, along with her other passengers, all received injuries from the accident. Grantham was transported to Lake Regional Air Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield and treated for serious injuries. Her other passengers were 15 and 16-year-old minors. The 16-year-old minor was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield and treated for serious injuries. The 15-year-old who received minor injuries was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon. All occupants were wearing their seat belts.
