Frigid temperatures and a White Christmas are possible later this week as temperatures are expected to plummet Thursday. Mark Burchfield with the National Weather Service in Springfield says confidence is growing in arctic cold and some snow.

 

Burchfield says it’s still too early to tell just how much snow will fall, but what does fall will stick.

 

 

The frigid air should begin to move out of the area over the weekend.
