Applications are being taken for rental assistance in Missouri
Renters in Missouri who have been impacted by the COVID pandemic through job loss, reduced hours, or illness can apply for help through the State Assistance for Housing Relief. SAFHR(safer) is a program through the state which could help pay back rent and rent for up to a year combined. Donna Owen with Missouri Ozarks Community Action(MOCA) encourages anyone who needs help with rent to apply. She said that you can apply even if you are now back to work…
She said they realize that monthly rent may be different for different areas…
Owen said they will be happy to help renters fill out the application. There is a landlord section of the application as well. Any renter who wants to apply can go online to myozarksonline.com and click on the MOCA tab, and then find the SAFHR application link. Renters can also apply for utility assistance as well. There are some income guidelines, for a single person, you may qualify if your gross annual income is under $31-thousand-dollars.
