Absentee voting for the August 3rd Special Election will begin on Tuesday in Laclede County. Election official and Laclede County Clerk Linda Cansler tells us August is a special election with a limited number of voters.

Voters who live in Laclede County Public Water Supply District Number 1 will vote to approve revenue bonds in the amount of $10-million-dollars. Voters who live inside the city limits of Lebanon will vote on a one-half of one percent sales tax for improvements to stormwater control and for city parks. With the passage of the sales tax, the property levy tax for parks will be rolled back to zero. You can vote absentee in-person at the Laclede County Clerk’s Office, or you may request a ballot be mailed. Those who aren’t registered to vote or are unsure if they are registered to vote still have time to do so.
