Youth Poetry/Art Slam This Wednesday

(Waynesville)–Waynesville School District students will share what the “celebration of diversity” means to them during the first Youth Poetry/Art Slam this Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 o’ clock in the Lecture Hall at Waynesville High School. The public is invited to view the artwork starting at 6 p-m in the hallway just outside the lecture hall where light refreshments will be served. Students will read their poetry and essays inside the lecture hall starting at 6:30 p-m. The students who will be performing are among those whose works were selected for inclusion in the publication, “Celebration of Diversity 2020,” which will be distributed during the event. Anyone wanting copies of the “Celebration of Diversity 2020” may pick them up at the Waynesville School Administration Building from February 13th through 28th, or as long as supplies last.
