Wright County burglary arrest

A man from Cabool who was warned not to return to Walmart has been charged with burglary. According to a statement filed with the Wright County Courts, a Mountain Grove Police officer was called to the business on North Main Street after a man wheeled a cart full of items out of the store without paying for it. An employee with Asset Protection reported that on March 20th, a man identified as Brandon Rutz walked past all points of sale with the cart. When he stopped him, Rutz handed over a receipt but it was old and didn’t list the items that were in the cart. Rutz then reportedly kept walking to his car and left. The Walmart employee showed the Police Officer, a ticket containing a list of the items stolen and it totaled $755. A Wright County warrant was issued for the arrest of Brandon Rutz on charges of felony burglary and stealing.
